Privacy Policy

Rasengan (rasenganapp.com) is operated by Maj Custodio, Cebu City, Philippines (“we”, “us”). For data about your own account, we are the personal information controller under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

For the leads and contacts you add to Rasengan, you are the controller and we process that data on your behalf, only to provide the service to you.

• Account details: your name, username, email address and a securely hashed password.
• Business details you enter: business name, offer, benefits, sender name and title, website, branding (logo, colors, signature, footer) and message templates.
• Your contacts: names, emails, phone numbers, company names and notes you type in, import by CSV, or add from Lead Finder.
• Messages: the follow-ups sent on your behalf and the replies your contacts send back.
• Phone connection details: the credentials for the texting app on your phone (stored server-side and never shown back in full).
• Technical data: log-in cookies needed to keep you signed in, and basic request logs kept by our hosting providers for security.

• To run your follow-up sequences: write, schedule and send emails and texts, and show replies in your inbox.
• To stop following up with anyone who replies or opts out.
• To find public business listings when you use Lead Finder.
• To keep your account secure, including sending password reset emails.
• To fix problems and improve Rasengan.

Lead Finder searches public business listings (OpenStreetMap, or Google Maps if enabled) and the public pages of business websites for contact details that businesses publish themselves. We only collect business contact information, not private individuals' data, and only when you run a search.

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Supabase: database, authentication and file storage.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Resend: sending and receiving email.
• The texting app you connect (SMS Gateway for Android or httpSMS): relays texts through your own phone.
• OpenStreetMap / Google Maps: business search for Lead Finder.
• Anthropic (only if AI writing is turned on): to draft follow-up copy from your business details.

Some of these providers store data outside the Philippines. We do not sell your data or your contacts' data, ever.

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete a contact, it and its message history are deleted. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your account, business details, contacts and messages within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.

Under the Data Privacy Act you can ask to access, correct, download or delete your personal data, and object to how it's processed. Email cmajkelbenche@gmail.com and we'll respond within 15 days. You can also complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

If you received a message sent through Rasengan, reply “unsubscribe” (email) or “STOP” (text) and that sender will never contact you through Rasengan again. You can also contact the business that messaged you directly.

Data is encrypted in transit. Each account can only ever see its own data, enforced inside the database. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach affecting you, we'll tell you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

We use only essential cookies to keep you logged in, plus your browser's local storage to remember small preferences like whether sound effects are muted. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Rasengan is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18.

If we make important changes, we'll update the date at the top and let account holders know by email or in the app.
